Party: After the Wedding

Questions and Answers

How come you chose this place for the wedding?

Like many other things in our lives, we value things that make us happy and we don’t think much more than that. Pontus’ requirement was that he wanted to get married in a castle in the Stockholm area, and after much searching we found Johannesberg Castle – a good mix of modern comfort and all-inclusive.

However, there is a local anchoring as Johannesberg Castle is owned and operated by the same group that owns and operates Hotel Carlshamn, which is located in Blekinge, where Pontus is from.

What does “Children stay at home” mean?

Children are wonderful, but we like them to stay at home on this day. We expect everyone who comes to the wedding to be 17 years or older. We ask everyone to respect this.

What possibilities for overnight accommodation are available?

Johannesberg Castle has a large number of hotel rooms and we have reserved a number of rooms for wedding guests. These are booked individually and will later become available to other guests – as it is the end of the golf season, anyone wishing to stay is encouraged to book as early as possible.

Bookings are made by contacting Johannesberg Castle via phone or mail: info@johannesbergsslott.se, state Pontus & Stefan’s Wedding in September to book a reserved room.

How and where do I register a special diet?

As you know, we really like plant-based diets and the food will be based on a vegetarian cuisine inspired by both Italian and Swedish cuisine. Report a special diet in connection with your OSA.

Clarification of dress code

We want everyone to come in their finest! Having said that, it is important to also be comfortable as it is a very long day. If you want to bring a pair of really nice but uncomfortable shoes, it might be a good idea to bring an extra pair at dinner, for example.
Then we encourage everyone to (as far as possible) dress colorfully – it’s still a colorful couple getting married.

What is the easiest way to get to the wedding? Transport

The wedding and party are held in Fasterna church and Johannesberg castle. These places are about 50 minutes from Stockholm City by car. The easiest way is to take the car or carpool, or sign up for the planned bus. It is also possible to take a taxi from, for example, Rimbo (please book in advance) after a bus trip there from Stockholm.

Bus – registration required!

We plan to offer seats on the bus at cost price (price depends on the number of passengers, approx. 400:- t/r per person) from Stockholm City Terminal to all destinations and then depart back to Stockholm City and arrive before midnight. This bus is also going between the church and the party venue. To register your interest in the bus, register via the RSVP form for the wedding.

How do I get to the church and castle?

Fasterna Kyrka: Fasterna kyrkväg 12, 762 96 Rånäs

Johannesbergs Slott: Johannesbergs Slott, 762 95 Gottröra

We have chosen to get married in Fasterna Church built in the 19th century. It lies beautifully in the Upland expanses among golden fields, the lake Skedviken and is framed by the Mörby Slottsruin, which burned down in the middle of the 18th century.

The easiest way to get to the church is by car, carpooling or via the bus that is planned to go between the church and the castle (Read more about the bus under the heading “Transport”).

Coming from the south, the easiest way is to go past Stockholm towards Uppsala/Arlanda. Follow the E4, take the exit towards Arlanda, then drive through Arlanda and turn off towards Norrtälje.

Gifts and wedding gifts

We do not expect any gifts at all. We see the wedding as an opportunity to gather all the people we like the most in our lives and have a great day. If, after all, you feel that you want to give or leave something, a contribution to our honeymoon via swish is appreciated.

How do I sign-up for speeches or performances?

We encourage anyone who wants to brighten up our evening with speeches or other antics. We will have a mixed audience where most will understand English, but Swedish also works. For those who want, the conversation is also in Serbian, of course!

There will be a microphone, sound system and projector for those who want to show a film or a presentation.
To register a performance: contact our toastmasters Sindy or Jimmy at tal@stefan-pontus.se (Contact via Swedish or English possible) or directly to the couple.
